The Pros And Cons Of Reduce Global Warming

What can humans do to help reduce global warming? It might sound like a dumb statement but there is actually a lot of action that humans can take on to help out with global warming, but some of us either don’t know it or are unaware of this major ongoing problem that affects all of us. For example, we can choose to go green in our homes or bigger complexes such as apartments by the doing the most minimum changes to your house by doing things such as switching from the normal light bulbs to the new Eco-friendly energy saving bulbs that are out in the market now a day’s. Another thing that can be changed to help out would be to replace some of our appliances that have the standby energy consuming clocks and or timers that are useless if you really …show more content…
For example things that can be done to get your home to be more energy efficient would be to weatherstrip and insulate any and every space around the house that could possibly be an exit or entrance for air. Good places to check for insulation needs would be in the attic to seal and insulate the air ducts that run through their, around the windows and doors such things as caulking around the trims and putting on a good seal, in the living areas by putting foam gaskets behind electrical outlets or even where the floor meets with the exterior walls. Another good place to check if weatherization is needed would be areas around the exterior by caulking all penetrations that lead into the house from such things as the electrical, telephone, cable, gas, dryer, vents and maybe even the water lines. Another great thing to do to help would be decreasing the transportation that we use on a daily by maybe taking less unnecessary trips to store or even switch up from vehicles that are powered by the main fossil fuels such as oil or coal and find an alternative power plant such as the new innovated cars that are electrically powered such as the smart cars or even an energy-efficient hybrid …show more content…
Global warming has actually caused major problems throughout our planet and will continue to do so at much faster rates than the past years if nothing is done by each individual on this planet to help out the cause. Some of the known problems that are happening due to global warming are mainly problems that affect our planet and that alter our weather conditions for the most part. Some of the most recognized problems as an effect of global warming would be things such as the changes in the weather patterns that cause bigger storms due to the warmer waters found in the ocean because of warmer water temperatures a great example of this bigger storms would be Hurricane Katrina that took place on August of 2005 being the costliest hurricane yet. Another big issue that climate changes have caused is the extensive droughts that have lead to wildfires in the past for example the national drought that took place from 1999 to 2002 being the most extensive drought in the past 40 years. These changes have lead to the highest drought frequency that the west has experienced in over the past 30 years. Another known issue that has been an effect due to global warming has been the increased national annual precipitation that has seen an increasement nationwide from 5 and leading all the way to 10 percent since the dawn of the early 20th century mainly due to the increment in heavy rainfalls. The warming changes in the climate temperatures have also

The Climate Change Crisis Global warming is a rising issue around the world that needs to be addressed. There are multiple things that we can do to end global warming or to dampen the amount of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases being released into the atmosphere. We can come together as a community to promote eco-friendly energy sources or change small things in our homes to save energy individually. In my community, a small and fairly wealthy town, it has been apparent that people rarely use public transportation or consider the amount of fuel their car uses. Most people in my the town do not think what kind of issues?…
