The parolee will be assigned to a parole officer. A parole officer works with inmates that have been released from jail and that are serving parole by helping them to reenter to the society. The main focus of a parole officer is to make sure that the parolee doesn’t commit any crimes. The parole officer have to supervise the parolee and make sure that the parolee doesn 't do drugs and alcohol. Parole officers helps inmates with job training, rehabilitation, abuse counseling, anger management sections, and other programs that will help the inmate to get ready to reenter to the society. Parole is a contract between the state and the offender. If the offender is able to obey the terms of the contract, freedom is maintained. Parole gives the opportunity to inmates to reenter to the society. The Parole Board determines if an inmate qualifies for parole. The parole officer will make sure that the inmate has a job, has a house, make sure that the inmate is assisting the all the programs and make sure that the inmate doesn’t commit crimes. Inmate must follow all the conditions provided by the Parole board. If the inmate commits a crime, the inmate will go back to prison and the parole board may revoke the conditional release (parole). The reentry process helps the parolee to reenter to the society.
