Closely fit the substantiative area in which would be used, it must be readily understandable by laymen concerned in the area and sufficiently general so that it is applicable to a multitude of diverse daily situations within the substantive area , not just a specific type of situation (Glasser and Strauss 1967, p.237)
Investigators
When we refer to people’s consciousness we are concerned with what takes place- in terms of thinking and acting within us. These subjective states refer to our “inner” world of experiences rather than the world out there….our central interest as researchers is now focused upon people’s understandings and interpretations of their social environments (May, 1993, p.8)

The term intpretative is used when what a researcher is trying to do is to answer questions by producing an intpretation of how those people whose actions are being studied themselves to intpret these actions. (p.104)
Qualitative inquiry places a high premium on the unique, on the exploitation of the researcher’s unique strengths rather than on standardization and on uniformity. Investigators will do things in ways which make sense to them given the problem in which they are interested, the aptitude they possess and the context in which they work. (Eisner, 1991, p.169).
Use of interpretive field research creates space for a relatively wholistic view of real contexts and attending to various features of professional experience. Focus on ordinary events in natural settings with an emphasis on meanings that arise from lived experiences (Miles and Huberman 1994, p.10).
As with any research project this was informed by values and principles that are open to inquiry. What values did I bring to this …show more content…
Conceptualizing the essences of the practice under study and then proposing a theoretical stance that would provide a new way of understanding from where speculations were garnered.
The critical side to my research of forest school and references to support:
Interpretivism as a whole has attracted critics.Limitations in Intpretive research is the situadness of data, assumes production of knowledge results from social interaction that is constantly validated by participants.this knowledge is situated in terms of time, place and culture. Notions of validity cogency and fruitfulness are of necessity ; products of concensus about new developments in the field.findings cannot be considered replicable or generalizable across time or across disparate or even similar contexts (Walker, 1983, p.156; Mousley 2003,p.93).
Interpretive research is a reading and in its telling a further reading and will always be incomplete. Another limitation iof intpretative approach is that concluding of interpretations and values that underpin any inquiry are transitory.(John, 1998, Mousley, 2003,
