Since most businesses use outdated management tools, which are not designed for managing complex projects, there is a need for an improved information management system that can match the increases in complexity, both due to the extent of scope and the fact that the users who contribute to the decision making process are physically separated. These have led to initiatives that deal with cooperation, teamwork and continuous improvement, (Braglia & Frosolini, 2014).

For the business, The importance of the application of information management and bringing knowledge to business in order to make better decisions on a day-by-day basis, (Agiu, Mateescu, & Muntean, 2014). Based on the newest technologies, Business Intelligence systems are essential for the decisional level efficiency, but also for improving relations with the clients, employees and suppliers by: facilitating the decisional process, increasing productivity of employees, lower costs, increasing the relationship with the partners and business development. My current organization uses business to turn data into useful information in order to improve its supply chain effectiveness, get an improved customers service relationship with contractors who happen to be taking majority of the jobs in the military recently. One pattern I have noticed with the military recently at my organization is that, in the effort to cut cost, they end up cutting civilian government employees and in turn replace them with contracting positions. Some would argue it saves money because you get the best, but then other argue that, it cost the government more in terms of how much they would have to pay a civilian who cannot loose their job easily however a contractor can be fired for sub-standard performance. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) is a system of enterprise-wide information system that integrates and controls all business processes within an organization. An ERP system allows an organization to integrate all primary processes in order to increase the efficiency and to maintain a competitive position. However, without the successful implementation of the system, the benefits designated for improving productivity and increasing competitive advantage would not be possible, (Vinatoru & Calota, 2014). ERP implementation is a complex process, and the success or failure depends on many factors, and it is difficult to be planned to avoid any potential difficulties. Traditional audit model has undergone significant changes over the past decade. Change in financial audit is attributed to market pressures, including competitive prices, saturation and increasing training and technology. The profession moved toward providing additional systems of insurance services. For example, there has been a paradigm shift in insurance services, which focuses on the internal control system throughout the life cycle of the information system. Implementation of an ERP system is usually followed by an increase in internal audit procedures as a result the organization may reach a higher level of integration in business processes and to improve the quality of the reports. Customer relationship management (CRM) Customer relationship management is the overall process of building and maintaining profitable customer relationships by delivering superior customer value and satisfaction with the goal of improving the business relationships with customers. Also, it is the strongest and the most efficient approach to maintaining and creating the relationships with customers, (Soltani & Navimipour, 2016).
