Parents contributes 50% of the genes each to the offspring, the first generation to a mixed- race couple will surely be midway in color between the two. In well known cases there is one or both parents are biracial, making a “ genetic soup” of dark-skinned and light-skinned genes. The offspring inherit a variable amount of DNA from our grandparents. If all four of the grandparents are different colors, specific genes inherited from each influences not only the skin color but also the features. In the long term, the rise of a mixed- racial gene pool could possibly have remarkable effects in the health of the nation. They might have an effect on our health due to genetic conditions to a specific type of racial groups it would become less common. Dean Durrant and Alison Spooner produced black and white twins. In these rare cases one parent was from a white background and the other was from a black background. In this particular case they had 2 sets of black and white twins, 7 years apart. In most cases of black and white twins, at least one of the parents are biracial. For Lucy and Maria ( another set of Black and White twins) one of their parents was half Jamaican and half white, while the other was white. With these type of twins it can be difficult to convince people that they are related or even that they are …show more content…
I’ve learn that depending on if the placenta splits or not it can determine the type of twins produce. The study on twins are interesting because even though they have their similarities , they also have their difference. Identical twins are not always so identical, they have differences in fingerprints, personality, etc. Fraternal twins are the most common set of twins and can also be caused by fertility drugs. Black and white twins are rare and usually occur because of biracial parents. Most conjoined twins are stillbirth or die shortly after. All these twins are different in creation, development, appearance, etc. In the future if twins occur more frequently, they will be able to have conduct more studies behind the different type of twins and why the placenta splits and don 't split. In today’s day and age since more people are reproducing there is more likely chances of having more twin births. It 's interesting how our body works in order to produce children. Twins are unique because they develop a little differently from regular births. There is still many question that are unanswered about twins but with future studies and more births this will be
