The book actually had more than the ever had in the book like it had Pony got jumped by some Socs and got beat up, but in the movie in did not have that in the movie. You could compare the movie in the book by the using something like a T-chart. In the movie the person who wrote the book was in the movie but not in the book so I thought that was cool. It has the movie in front of you, but in the book you could picture it in your head so that's why I thought the movie was better than the book. I would rate this book a solid 5 because it had a good plot and had good details in the book and it had some good parts in the book. This book would definitely be in my top 5 books. I thought this book was good because when Johnny passed away in the Hospital his final words were “Stay Gold Ponyboy Stay Gold”. The book was excellent because it had some people in the book that you never think that would die, but they ended up dying. It left me wanted to know what happened next like what happens in the next
