There are many players that are more than ready to begin in the NBA but they are being held back by college. For example if there is a high school player who is more than ready to play in the NBA why not let him play in the NBA instead of holding them back by college they should just be allowed to pursue their dream and not have going to college get in the way. Many of the players that averaged amazing numbers in high school will end up averaging something close to that in college so why not just let them skip college and go average amazing numbers in the NBA. Coaches for college just draft prospects and see them go “Everyone hates him to being Darth Vader and the leader of an evil empire and how he's ruining college basketball because all does is recruit five star recruits” (Stephen Proffitt) and the fans clearly don't like it. Sometimes the NBA and the players in it will give the player from high school a shock or wake up call to work harder to average what they averaged in high school so that is a benefit to them. Also, because the players are only in college for a short time they are not able to build bonds with the college and its fans which makes going to college pretty much pointless. For example, Kyrie Irving only played 11 games at Duke University before going to the NBA and he was never really able to bond with the college or its fans before going professional. Now in the NBA Kyrie is now averaging 24.4 points playing on the Boston Celtics and he only spent 11 games in college basketball.
