Teachers can create a classroom page where they can chose which games they would like their students to play. Guessing is not an option on this website, students can be successful through hard work and understanding of each interactive activity. Tracking tools are available which allows teachers and parents to monitor the child’s progress. IXL is aligned with all the Common Core, DoDEA, and all state standards. Technology is everywhere, entwined in almost every part of our lives. Technology integration in the classroom helps facilitate learning by the use of active engagement, participation in groups, frequent feedback and interaction, and connection to real world experts. The use of technology can also change the way teachers teach. Technology resources such as Hoodamath, National Library of Virtual Manipulatives, and Buzzmath offers educator effective ways to reach different types of learners and assess student understanding Hooda Math, National Library of Virtual Manipulatives, and Buzzmath provides each classroom with more interesting, diverse, and current learning materials to help facilitate learning in the classroom. Integrating the Three Technologies Hooda Math allows teachers to reinforce mathematical concepts using interactive games. This website however did not create its games for the Common Core State Standards, but do cover similar concepts of Mathematics. Students can reinforce many mathematical concepts by playing the games on the site. Students are engaged in learning and therefore more apt to learning. Hooda Math helps students learn math facts by the offering students the opportunity to play fun addictive games like Flappy Bird. Students love this game, so the math facts become like second nature to them. Teachers can use this site when incorporating BYOD (bring your own device) in the classroom. BYOD is mobile learning that offers flexibility and a mechanism for students to experience education effortlessly in most learning environments (Cristol & Gimbert, 2014). Students can build their skills where they need them and work at their own level. Teachers can also use Hooda Math as a math center rotation. Students can travel from center to center in small groups, and take turns playing games that meet their individual needs.
