Although many values from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics are applicable, the values that are most represented by this policy are the importance of human relationships, dignity and worth of the person, and social justice. The importance of human relationships states that social workers should strive to strengthen relationships between people to, “ promote, restore, maintain, and enhance the wellbeing of individuals, families, social groups, organizations, and communities” (NASW 2008). This is an essential value to this policy because it deals with undocumented individuals, a sensitive subject which every individual takes a different stand on and can create strained relationships in communities and between individuals…

Mary has an ethical and legal responsibility to report her findings of the correlation of this rare bladder disease with workers who are employed at the manufacturing plant. While the state has a law that dictates when individuals should take action, Mary should be guided by ethics and her own beliefs to justify why she should report her findings (Candilis, 2002). As Neuberger and Swirsky (2017) indicate, healthcare professionals have a duty to protect the public and are required to comply with laws, such as the law in Colorado regarding environment diseases. Additionally, as a HIM professional Mary is responsible for following the AHIMA Code of Ethics, which includes cooperating with legal authorities, putting the welfare of others before themselves, and ensuring that all voices are heard (AHIMA, 2011). Therefore, as a HIM professional Mary should report the high incidence of these cases to advocate for the rights of these patients.…

At that point the defense program had developed a conceptual model for what a bomb detector could look like, sadly the technology is still far from completion. Until then one solution has been to use security cameras that flag unusual situations, like abandoned backpacks or packages as well as people dressed strangely for the current weather or season.
