My companion must be of the same species, and have the same defects.” (Shelley 104), the creature has no one, everyone runs away or harms him, he wants someone to be with. “You must create a female for me, with whom I can live in the interchange of those sympathies necessary for my being.” (Shelley 104). Victor also wanted a companion and he had people that wanted him but pushed them away to fulfill his study. He finally created a companion, the creature, “A new species would bless me as its creator and source; many happy and excellent natures would owe their being to me. No father could claim the gratitude of his child so completely as i should deserve theirs” (Shelley 32). The path of my departure was free, and there was none to lament my annihilation. My person was hideous and my stature gigantic. What did this mean? Who was I? What was I? Whence did I come? What was my destination? These questions continually recurred, but I was unable to solve them.” (Shelley 91) Victor was questioning everything and had turned into the monster himself. Victor also never told anyone about the monster even though he was to blame for all the problems that were causes. The monster shows more human qualities than Victor, he takes blame for his wrongdoing, shows that he cares for others, and longs for a companionship like a human would. In conclusion, the creature ends up killing himself being of all the burron he's caused wants no more
