The Maze: A Narrative Fiction

It was a cold summer night in October. The fog slowly walked in as Travis and Jake riding their bikes to the town’s corn maze.
“Keep up if you can slow poke’’ Jake said as he zoomed past Travis, almost making him fall.
‘’You’re a jerk’’ Travis said in a fierce way when the meet up again at the end of the block. They continued to the corn maze not that far from their school (Turlock High). Jake noticed when he pulled out his phone that it’s a hour past the time he wanted to be there. That’s when Travis suggested that they should take a short cut to the maze. Again Jake raced next to Travis, this time he fell into some bushes. Travis got up with some scratches on his arm.
Travis was saying ‘’ Ouch man what’s up with your stupidity tonight lately’’.

As time moves on they discover this house with bricks. Travis was Scared to walk up on private property especially in the dark. Jake was trying to convince them ‘’ C’mon man don’t be a little wussy’’. Travis was having second thoughts as he walked on slowly. When they approached the house a phone on the wall appeared. Travis whispered to Jake Cross 2
‘’ Dude this must be a dream’’ the phone that just appeared rang and Travis jumped like 12 feet in terror. When Jake answered the phone the porch light turned on and this Middle aged man started to chase Travis and Jake. When the guy ran after them they froze in terror. They ran as fast as they possibly could go but after a few blocks Jake stopped because he had a cramp in his side. For a second they felt relief because they lost the guy. They started to walk for a few blocks that’s when they walked in a skittish way, reacting to every noise. They saw the stranger again but he was in his car.
Travis asked ‘’Jake is the random guy following us’’
Jake replied ‘’yes’’ is a scared way. They tried to ditch the car by hiding everywhere the
