They had to do the real life process of a guard and go to there house arrest them. So then the guards started to abuse them and they went almost started to go through deep depression. The prisoners started screaming, crying, and etc. Those are the stages. They guards took advantage of this because that’s how the simulated prison life worked in this part.
According to the text the kids in the story felt like they wanted to help the man but they didn't know what to do so they just came there every day asking questions. And then the kids didn't want to help the man down in the well. The author made this by like the kids teasing him about going to get help. So this is a lesson not to rease people when you need help.
So both storys have a problem about abusing there power by the kids lying to the man and the guards abusing the prisoners. So you dont ever want to corrupt your power because people face real big problems like depression and you don’t want that. Neither do they because that might be you one day and how would you feel if that were you being teased not good right. So dont abuse your power. If you have
