The Comanches economy was based on two factors, raiding different places and lands and trading with different villages. The Comanches were not friendly on domination, but used violence and war in order to build up their empire. They became the center of imperial power and made other villages and empires to adapt to their habits. This prevented any European country to not bulge in a war with the Comanche Empire. Hamalainen describes in his essay. How the Comanches first adapted to horses during the late 17th century. They helped them quickly adapt to more things as in harnessing, farming and wAr tactics. By the early 18th century, The Comanches had dominated majority of the land and region becoming the most populous indians. Hamalainen explains in his essay, that the reason the Spanish were not able to successfully expand northward was because of the presence of the Comanches, By the 1830s, the Comanches were able to develop a system known as the raiding industry that would a core of everything like slaves, trading, and many more. Not longer thus would extremely fail because of an ecological devastation in their economy because of the system. The essay David wrote is about the construction of nationalism in the revolutionary war. In Waldstreicher’s view, nationalism was not the creation racial or ethnic identity, but a collective identification that was combined from the public celebrations of the late 18th centuries. If you view the history of nationalism, it was the creation of rituals, order, identity and social tensions. David writes that America was divided along the lines of class, gender, race, and region. Everyone was wondering how was anyone able to control the social and economic contentions of the common people. David;s essay goes on to show the fundamental of the process in which nationalism will be created. David tries to uncover the metaphysic and identity issues, but one does not know that. Everyone must stand together in order for anything to occur. Waldstreicher in his essay gives us the post revolutionary war power that America held during the time period. It had a great impact on the innocence of the American class. Waldstreicher did a well job on explaining how America developed nationalism. He described that it was based rituals that would be happening and it would follow the same procedures. There could have been improvements in the essay, one being David should have spoken in regards of after the war and how the people felt about the nations. It would have
