Political parties claim to seek to uphold the common good of all American citizens to receive their votes, but ultimately are influenced by money and self interest. Political parties are unavoidable but yet necessary. They are unavoidable due to the fact that not everyone has the same exact political opinion. Since everyone has different political opinions, the need for political parties arises. Each political party represents a different opinion, belief, or view on how the people think the government should run. Since these parties represent the people’s political opinions they are necessary. Without political parties, the people’s opinions, beliefs, or views could not be properly represented in the government. In my opinion, there is a need
