One protest is that social media empowers dishonesty in communication. This protestation is a noteworthy objection because betrayal sabotages the trust required for interpersonal relationships. The characterization of deception is the “deliberate act intended to mislead others, while targets are not aware or do not expect such acts might happen and where the deceiver aims to exchange a false conviction to the deceived” (Tsikerdekis & Zeadally, 2014, p. 72). If the purpose of any communication is deception, then the question of how robust the relationship indeed is, could likewise be answered. If one individual of the rapport is eager to or senses the need to deceive then the connection, itself would only be damaged further by any communication
