MUS is a very pristine high school and known for vigorous academic work and beautiful college like campus, the only thing that doesn’t make it a college is there are no dorms, the campus is just as big or bigger than many colleges. MUS’s school slogan is “A College Preparatory School” and I would say it prepared me for college more than most high schools in the county. Not just my writing excels because of MUS, my math and science skills thrived after my many difficult honors courses. My very first essay I wrote at MUS was about the most distinct point in my life where my life was changed, I wrote about the time I went on a outward bound and how much that changed me for the greater. I am the type of person that if I fail at something I keep doing it over and over until I perfect it, that is why this instance didn’t break my spirit, instead I worked at it until I got good at writing. Mr. Shelton not only taught me everything I know about writing but he is also the greatest influence in my writing career. I respect MUS’s academics now because I can see the difference in my knowledge of subjects with my new peers, and it is more than noticeable the difference of MUS academics and other high
