The dream doctors have become members of the hospital staff, and making company to the children’s through all kinds of procedures. Their principal purpose is of diverting the child’s attention apart from the procedure. The Dream Doctors organization and it’s associated hospitals, have done a confirmation based on research studies demonstrating the clown’s effectiveness in helping the curative process, most popular in women’s fertility clinics. According to Moshe Cohen, “I took a field expedition to various hospitals to go observe the Dream Doctors at work, attending how they operate in that environment, their level of interaction with the patients, and their companionship with the hospital staff. One is called “The Jovia Foundation”, that is a non-profit organization that is make up by therapeutic clowns programs in hospitals in Montreal and Quebec city. As a non-profit, the foundation is very vulnerable to the state of the economy, relying on donations to cover the cost of their services. According to the co- founder of the Jovia Foundation Melissa Holland, “The clown is a vulnerable figure who serves as a reflection of our humanity”. She means that they clowns involved in this project only do this activities to not take theirselves too seriously and to enjoy a moment of lightness and laughter. Another is the “Gesundheit! Institute” that is a project to re-invent the hospital.
