Education after high school is fundamental. New research about a higher education has some people wondering if college is worth it, but two things remain true: College graduates earn more money than those with just a high school diploma; and college is fundamental in developing not only higher understanding but broadened view of the world. America is ran on the concept of supply and demand. From choosing what we wear to choosing our careers, we scrutinize the relevant patterns of fellow Americans. We are a nation built on the very foundation of success. Along with this success comes the drive to be successful in the most efficient way possible. This efficiency has people reeling to make money without spending money. Because the supply of college graduates has went up, people are convinced that the demand has gone down. This belief is not completely inaccurate, but when talking about college education; it is not as simple as black and white. In order to determine if college is “worth it,” we have to determine what “it” is. College is about finding out who you are as a person and finding other people you will spend your life with. College builds life long friendships and connections that will be helpful in finding careers. College is also about developing yourself into a better version of you. It is the portal to the rest of your life. It gives you time to find your path before you are flung into the rest of your life.
