With budget cuts to education and financial aid being decreased across the board with tuition costs being increased at the same time, less people can afford to pursue higher learning and sometimes can’t afford Pre-K to High School for their children. Teachers also suffer from this as their jobs become just that, jobs. Often times they are laid off by districts in order to cope with the sudden loss of funds which affects their families as well as their students. Lesser known in this battle are school bus drivers who also fall under the umbrella as education; they too, are laid off when budgets are cut and suffer from decreased pay from an already low paying job. The legislature tends to wait until there is a course case to focus on school funding and possible changes in how school funding operates because they’d rather it be a “silent” problem until people start to notice and have a public outcry about it. It’s a very touchy subject when education plays a large role in so many lives and the potential future of parents’ children. As mentioned previously the House and Senate do not easily agree on what course of action should be taken in the event of cuts to education, so the whole thing is a headache no one wants to
