If the student was younger than a high school age, the parents or guardians could use the day to bond with the child, take him or her to a doctors appointment, or a variety of other things. Students can become more prepared for college while being in school for four days. College classes do not occur everyday of the week, it depends on the classes the student takes. College is short like a four day school week would be. This would benefit the students and could also help the students who are in high school choose a college they would like to attend. He or she could take the day off and tour different colleges and ask questions. A four day school week would benefit students academically and prepare them for college.

Schools should switch to a four day school week because it will benefit the students. “This improvement increased over time, with an average of 72 percent of students scoring "proficient or advanced" on their maths tests two years after they’d switched to a four-day school week” (MacDonald). The student would not only have more class time in a mathematics class, but others such as English or social studies. Certain people will attend college after high school and this school week will benefit the students
