Looking the coach in the eyes just to show her that you are listening-- even if you're secretly not. Your level of effort should always be higher than everyone else on the court. You should not make your coach tell you try harder, you try harder because you want to be the best student athlete. You always have room for improvement, everyone does. If your coach corrects you on something you look at them and say yes coach or ok. You never roll your eyes or talk back to your coach that is being disrespectful and not staying coachable. Being a good athlete doesn't mean you have to only be good at the sport, it means you're a good teammate and a good supporter if you're not on the court at the time; You always have to stay respectful. Always encourage your teammates, that means if they're having a bad day you try cheer your teammate up. In any sport you have to be respectful to yourself, to your whole team.
