This can also be said in a student nurse’s personal and home life. Prioritizing school, home, children, work are all factors that need to be prioritized in a student’s life. Also scheduling downtime and family time are important, as this is your support network throughout school, work and life. Sometimes it’s ok not to always be on the go and schedule time to take care of ourselves, “Busyness destroys our balance, scrambles our priorities and leads us into stress and a cluttering of our lives with too many activities, endless to-do lists and not enough time to re-charge to do the things we really need to do.” (Merritt, 2013)
Motivation to be successful as a student nurse is found within our passion to be a nurse. The passion and motivation to become a nurse and help people is what drives me to complete and stay on task with my studies. I have been told that this is the most intensive course load and condensed information within the health care system; the sleepless nights, time spent away from our families, and unmet needs within our own bodies fuel my desire to help people within the health care
