Albert Einstein, considered one of the sharpest minds in history, died unfulfilled. All of his life since he was a kid, he had been in awe from the natural phenomena of the world. Taken over by passion, Einstein put his whole focus on science. Even as a brilliant child, teachers thought he would never amount to anything, because of his lack of interest in anything other than sciences and math. Einstein and I share the same hyperfocus towards our passions that blindly leads us away from other priorities, giving off the impression of perceiving as a vapid individual. In Joseph Campbell’s heroic definitions, Albert Einstein fits best with a heroic zealot, devoting his entire life to theoretical physics, also influencing the philosophy of science. Not only is Albert Einstein a heroic zealot, but to me personally, a spiritual hero, for never giving up, and never being satisfied, pushing himself to work harder for things he loved.
