Even if students are aware of the abilities they have they may not use all or lack the most important one. In high school many of my past English teachers helped me make better use of how to incorporate strategies since there were times I lacked using a method. I was able to then find ways to use openness in my writings which allowed me to have connections to different possibilities and outcomes. There were many times during my writings in high school that had an impact and made me change the way I would view certain situations. Argumentative writings that included two perspectives allowed me to make use of my habit of openness and most times change the way I think. It is understood that in certain writings such as this, a writer should be able to use other perspective and not simply stay at a limited point of view. Crediting the people in which a writer gathered information from shows immense responsibility of respecting the other person’s findings and knowledge. Every single one of my writings in high school would have some kind of research done and I had to always reference where I gathered my information. Along with responsibility comes persistence with having the desire of continuing one’s work with interest or looking forward to the topic. With persistence I manage to stay on task where it has helped me write on topics that required extensive research. Even though these writings required much more time I was able to keep the interest on the topic going. I found ways to stay intrigued and began wanting more information. Having a habit of persistence it is important for writers or readers since they should always have a motivation to complete their task.
