During the 1920’s sports became a serious attraction to society.This was the time when america and the world wanted to put war behind them and focus on the good. The “Golden Age Of Sports” was a time that offered everyone a fascinating and enjoyable event. In the early 1920s sports became very important to american citizens. With world war I just ending the public needed something to turn to. During the 1920s the television was not invented yet but luckily it was the time when radios were first invented. With the workforce changing people had a lot of free time to listen to the sports. With all of these sports taking place it was perfect timing for all athletes to get recognized. The public was very lucky to watch all superstars such as Babe ruth, Jack dempsey, Man O’ war etc ( Alchin ). There are many different sports and sports legends in the 1920s, but only a few got most of the attention. The few sports that got the most attention were baseball, football, Boxing and tennis. It brought so many people together and so much positive vibes and yes there was some up and downs such as the stock market crashing better known as “The Great Depression” and World War I. But through all the inspiration through the big superstars such as Babe Ruth also known as The Great Bambino, Jack Dempsey and Man O’ War brought so much hope to the people that there is always something to smile about.The golden age of sports was the time that handed out society an amusing and pleasurable time during a rough time.
