I believe the leatherback turtle is very important because For 100 million years, these turtles have swam in the sea.These turtles have consumed numbers of jellyfish which helps them survive, but lately these fundamental link to the marine system are facing an extremely high risk of extinction in the wild. In the french guiana coasts leatherback turtles have come to nest every year.Some people in southeast Asia harvest these eggs and illegally trade them or keep them. By taking these eegs away from their natural habitat you’re harming their population.

These unique turtles are 2.5 feet (2m) as an adult and 2-3 inches (50-75 cm)as a hatchling.These turtles have a black shell with a pinkish white belly color.These turtles are the only ones
