One of the most common internet crime is hacking, which is considered a felony. Each day, new ways of accessing and manipulating specific information and data are discovered. When someone is being hacked, the owner of the computer is unaware that someone has this access to their sensitive information. Online theft is another form of cybercrimes. This crime consists of websites that allows someone to illegally download movies, music, games and other software. People will post almost anything on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other forms of social networks. This information grasp attention from several other people and could be placed directly in the hands of a police officer. The information people post online makes it easier for law enforcement agencies to use that particular information to help locate clues and gather other tips needed to solve a crime. There have been plentiful cases of police solving crimes based on information collected from Facebook posts. Crimes also have been detected and criminals have been prosecuted as a consequence of videos posted on the YouTube website. People will post videos because they are wanting other YouTubers to watch the video and make the video viral.
