This essay is about the election of 1912. The election of 1912 consisted of three major candidates, Theodore Roosevelt, William H Taft, and Woodrow Wilson. In this essay I will talk about events that happened during the election, some examples are of what each candidate stood for and what they would perform after they won.

Theodore Roosevelt was in the political party of progressive. His platform was New Nationalism. The New Nationalism platform goals were involvement by the national government, This was a total rejection of the laissez-faire government. Also to make sure that the average worker or small business, and small farmers were an essential part of a vision for the country.
