This fact also dispels the argument that closing the door in the face of refugees is to protect U.S. citizens. Unfortunately, refugees are greatly affected by America’s illogical vetting system. Immediately, American Executives must institute a policy that allows for refugees to enter this country. Ignorance needs to be exterminated through education. Children’s natural love should be allowed to grow. Children should be taught through example that silence is violence against their own brothers and sisters. Perhaps, with a new tolerant generation, racism will not be normalized in the media, and a ban such as this will not exist. As an American, one must be the voice of the voiceless, or better yet, use his or her platform to pass the microphone to those who deserve to finally speak. It matters. These people matter.
