Monarchy to Communism
Russia had been ruled by a system known as "czarism" about "300 years before the communist era"(Goldman). The monarchical rule had been in place with the first Tsar and founder of the Romanov dynasty, Michael Romanov. Michael was young and was poorly educated, he was not ready to be Tsar. At first Russia had been successful with having a Tsar rule, but that soon turned into communist being in power. Then Russia had been a part of the Soviet Union. Although achieving many goals, the Soviet Union soon fell, and Russia elected Boris Yeltsin as president. He had done what he could to achieve the goals that the former Soviet Union couldn’t achieve, but even achieving greatness led him to drink heavily. Which led to the end of his term in office. Finally, Vladimir Putin was put the test to run the country. He has created his own reforms, but like many of the other reforms in Russia, it had failed. Much like Russia’s government, its economy has also been up and down throughout the years. Starting with being successful in the oil business and ending with the industries collapsing. Russia has been through so many changes that will have long term affects the future
