Technically the earth produces enough food for everyone, but the food is not able to reach those who need food. University of California study found that “relatively small, and potentially overestimated, differences in yield between organic and conventional agriculture, despite …show more content…
This is why world hunger is such a big problem in the Middle East and Africa because they have no good soil left. In Africa, there are so many different climates, that all people can do is raise animals because the soil and because of the climate. Even though raising animals are the best form of agriculture in Africa, some parts of Africa, there are some restrictions on animal agriculture grazing because there is no grass for the animals to graze (“Soil Erosion and Cultivation” 39). In Australia, there is a bunch of soil deterioration from the European immigrants coming in and using and destroying their land. There have been many practices in Australia to try to make the soil deterioration stop, but it is still not getting better (“Soil Erosion and Cultivation” 39). Some people don’t care about all of the erosion even though it is affecting their lives. In the Soil and Water Conservation for Productivity and Environmental Protection book in chapter two called “Soil Erosion and Cultivation”, it says, “For centuries, only farm workers and farmland owners seemed aware of soil erosion. Only they appeared to have any interest in doing anything to reduce it… Nonfarm people considered erosion a farmer’s problem… erosion is harmful to the land and eventually will hurt everyone” (“Soil Erosion and Cultivation” …show more content…

No matter how much food we produce, the hungry will still be hungry. That doesn’t mean to give up on feeding the world, it just means keep trying to feed the hungry and to make the percent of world hunger go
