While online dating provides users with a variety of people to choose from, having that many options may not be the best idea. Having so many people to choose from can become overwhelming and “without a clear plan, online daters can get stuck endlessly "shopping" for the perfect partner, rather than actually starting a satisfying relationship” (Nicholson). Over 41,250,000 people in the U.S. who have tried online dating and fifty-three percent of them confessed to dating more than one person simultaneously (Statistic Brain). If the person is unlike how you imagined them you can easily move on to someone new since there are is always going to be another person to take their place.
