The Adnan Syed's Case

More than 70% of murder suspect imprisonment are based off of false witness identification or false stories. (Innocence Project, 2017) Adnan Syed’s case is based off of two to five witnesses that are based off of one main witness, Jay Wilds. On January 13th, 1999, Hae Min Lee, a former student at Woodlawn High School and an ex-girlfriend and a friend of Adnan’s, went missing and was found strangled to death in a nearby park. I believe Adnan’s case doesn’t have enough evidence to convict and I will show you why. First and foremost, the phone calls. The phone calls that were collected for the case do not match up at the approximate times that they supposedly killed Hae. At Best Buy, there was supposedly a phone booth, which was the “come …show more content…
As Saad said in the Serial podcast series, “Adnan isn’t the type of person to get jealous easily, he would never hurt someone.” Adnan’s mother was also very strict with how she raised him since they were devoted Muslims and that Adnan’s parents are immigrants from Pakistan. Even Charles Ewing said that he had evaluated the mental state of convicted serial killers and murderers and he says that some people may “snap” and something triggers this sudden urge to kill a target. Sarah Koenig suspected that Adnan didn’t have anything to be angered about, sure sad but never enraged.
Following up on that, Adnan himself has maintained his innocence and has plead guilty throughout the entire case. In prison, he is an avid leader in programs and is relying on God to help him on his path home. Adnan never recalls being furious at Hae, according to Saad he had moved on and so had Hae, it’s how high school

This trip would have taken at least 22 and a half minutes and this would have required absolutely no room for errors. Manual strangulation also takes about 3-5 minutes to fully kill the victim and passerby would see Hae being stuffed into the trunk of a car eventually. I guess this is how it is in Baltimore?
According to crime scene examiners and forensic scientists, most of the items that were picked up at Adnan’s house tested negative for Hae’s DNA. Specific places such as the trunk of Adnan’s car and the inside of Hae’s car and trunk were tested negative for Adnan’s or Hae’s DNA. The footprints and clothing fibers on Hae and at the scene were not matched to Adnan. Nothing that was tested besides the map found in Hae’s car had Adnan’s

Adnan was convicted of murdering Hae Min Lee,who is also, Adnan’s ex. Adnan still claimed to be innocent, but he remembered the day of the murder to be a “regular day.” Jay’s inconsistencies, Asia McClain’s letter, and Adnan’s reaction to his breakup with Hae are all pieces of evidence that help support that Adnan was wrongfully convicted for the murder of Hae Min Lee. Even with all of this in mind, the court sees him as the main suspect and is not dissuaded by his normal persona. They pin him as Hae Min Lee’s killer by using the jealous boyfriend stereotype. It is also bad for his case when there are phone records and accounts of him acting strange on the day of her murder. Jay seems to be the only one that has a story that is sound enough to have Adnan as the main suspect.…

Adnan Syed - Guilty Ever since “The Judiciary Act of 1789”, the United States courts system has been accurately convincing some of the most ruthless and dangerous criminals the world has seen. It has been able to accurately distinguish the difference between innocent and guilty and kept lying criminals from escaping unscathed. The case of Adnan Syed is no different, even though Serial a podcast series narrated by Sarah Koenig may suggest differently. It is evident that Adnan is culpable of killing his ex girlfriend Hae Min Lee because his claim of innocence just does not make sense, and the fact he has a reasonable motive makes him very suspicious; that combined with a witness named Jay, who was willing to testify against his good friend…

She gave Deirdre the case file, and Deirdre had two team members look the…

The question that everyone is asking themselves is, who did it, was it Adnan, was it Jay, or was it a hitman that Jay knew hired by Adnan? What makes it more difficult are the changing stories, witnesses foggy memory and inconsistencies on what happened that day. Also the evidence that was gathered and presented can make one think Jay and Adnan definitely had something to do with her death however neither murdered Hae. After paying close attention to all the information that has been shared in the previous episodes; one can conclude that this theory makes sense.…

In our blood analysis, we were given four samples of blood and the respective names of the suspects. In addition, Lowry police informed us that the second type of blood found, the one from the perpetrator, was O+. For this inquiry, our group hypothesized that based on blood analysis we would be able to match one suspects’ blood type to the information that was provided by the Lowry police. The blood sample results show that suspect number four’s blood type was O+, therefore we can conclude that Allen Dann matches…
