I want to continue maintaining my cello and flute and keep having lessons, so that I can improve. Maybe I could even purchase a step up instrument so that I’m not playing on a student instrument anymore. I want to play in the Clinic Region Band and also All State Band, which is the best players in the state. I also want to participate in cross country again. I want to attend GSSM this coming year, but I don’t know if I will make it. If I am accepted there is an Interim in January which is a fun class that gives the students a break. However, those classes cost money for the most part and are not included in the yearly meal/living plan. I also want to go to Furman, but I don’t know on what instrument. I also want to go to a Spanish immersion camp. Next year I plan to take AP Spanish, but I need to improve my speaking skills. An immersion camp would help with that, I could meet all kinds of new people, and I would become more independent. I also want to use the money so that I can do marching band again. It was a ton of fun and I made amazing friends. That group became my family and I’ll never be able to look at a football field again without remembering all the happy memories I’ve made there. Short-term I want to be able to maintain my GPA and end the year with high As. I also want to be able to take the AP exam for AP World History and receive a 5 on it. I am also aiming to learn piccolo for concert and marching season I also want to be accepted into GSSM a public boarding school for intelligent STEM students. It’s more difficult than normal high school and has a rigorous application process. Long-term I want to either go to college and work on an engineering degree in biomedical engineering with an emphasis on nanotechnology or go to medical school and become a doctor. For colleges I would want to go to Case Western Reserve University, Clemson University, or Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Some things I want to do in the next couple years are to go on the Spanish trip to Costa Rica because I could practice my Spanish with native speakers. During one summer I want to travel out of the country and practice my Spanish speaking skills. Also it would make me more independent and more knowledgeable of other cultures. I have many goals and know that not all of them will come true, but the money could help make some of them come
