Did you know that In the United States, more than nine people are killed every day due to texting and driving? Many people, most being young teenagers and adults feel invincible and think nothing can hurt them. Since many young teenagers and adults feel invincible they do stupid thighs like texting and driveing and think everything will be fine. However, they don’t feel so invincible when they crash into some car and almost die. Texting and driving is bad because everybody seems to do it, you think you can do it and you can’t, and we can’t pull our selves away from our phones.

To begin with, Texting and driving is bad because bad because everybody seems to do it. In fact, according to Fox News over 90 percent of frequent drivers in an AT&T-sponsored survey said they know texting and driving is dangerous -- but that doesn’t stop them from doing it. This shows that many people driving do not have their full attention to the road. In addition, USA News says that “almost 31 percent drivers ages 18 through 64 said that they have read or sent text messages while driving.” This proves that many people driving on the rode are not focused and may cause and accident. Unfortunately everybody texting and driving is not the only factor in why people text and drive.
