Crest Pro Health Whenever you first meet someone, what is the first thing you see? Is it their gorgeous blue eyes, their flawless skin, their luscious hair, or their perfect smile? Most people would say the first thing they notice on someone is their mouth, good or bad. Everyone has a preference when it comes to mouth hygiene and every company thinks their products are the best. Crest Pro-Health made an advertisement selling their version of whitening teeth products. The ad creators focused on the purpose, the readers, and the context in order to make the most alluring ad.
This advertisement is trying to persuade readers into buying their product. The ad says, “Did she get a professional cleaning last month or yesterday?” in all capital letters at the top of the page with the words “professional cleaning” in bold letters . The ad, also, has a woman with perfect white teeth as the main vocal point. These two things help us determine the purpose of the advertisement, which is to persuade.

Some people try home remedies, like baking soda and lemon juice, while others try whitening teeth products. The advertisement is appealing to any reader who is trying to get a whiter smile or who is trying to improve their oral health. The people that are going to read this ad are, more than likely, going to be the type of people that care about their appearance. People who do not care about personal hygiene are not going to appeal to this ad. Some people are apprehensive when it comes to whitening teeth products, but the ad addresses this problem by stating, “4 out of 5 dentists confirmed these Pro-Health products helped maintain a professional clean.” The company took the reader’s needs, values, and attitudes into consideration when they were creating the most effective
