Sommer & Mmari (2015) assert, “In spite of the fact that youths have one of the most reduced rates of mortality internationally, various negative sexual and regenerative wellbeing results, for example, early pregnancy and contamination with HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases (STIs), keep on threatening the wellbeing and prosperity of young people more than whatever other age bunch”. The author supports the main thesis through two case studies. Both case studies addresses structural and environmental influences and interventions. The key lesson is that one pathway is not a solution to adolescent sexual and reproductive health. Teens must understand the health risks involved prior to them engaging in sexual activity. Structural and environmental factors affect teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases especially in poverty-stricken communities and countries. Inequality and the availability of resources are major factors. Poverty requires a mindset change. The mindset change begins with education. These lessons can be applied as a community, educating the entire family first and distributing resources
