Teacher Assistant Reflection Essay

Improved Essays
Many students assume that KAMP would be an easy ‘A’. That assumption is actually wrong. This is my first year being a teacher assistant and it was not a walk through the park. However, I knew that this class would benefit me more than most electives. At first I was taking an elective that I found out would not help me at anything. I later realized that being a teacher assistant would virtue me. My experience this nine weeks as a teacher assistant has shown me that this class helps me keep up my grades, turn me into a more valuable person, and also create a more fitting campus at Ocoee.
To begin with, my grades have been exceptional. One thing KAMP keeps me motivated to achieve stupendous grades. In order to remain in this class I have kept my grades up and I am currently trying to achieve a 4.0 for this 9 weeks and the rest of the school year. When I was a freshman and sophomore I really was not impelled to do extremely well academically. I just tried to do enough to get by and not get a grade less than a ‘C’. Not only are my grades becoming better, this class draws me to become a superlative person.

Giving a hand in any way, shape, or form. I’m compelled to be more useful instead of just sitting there and not contributing. Also, this will help me in the future. The community service that I will get will lead me toward to getting a bright future scholarship making college easier and cheaper. Becoming a better person with better grades is not the only thing that I experienced in KAMP. I have seen that I'm creating a more fitting campus at

Coming in to taking this VUSM class I thought it would just be another required VUSM that I just wanted to get through and get an easy A. This class not only taught me about people who lived differently than me, but it gave me the chance to put myself into somebody else’s shoes in ways I never would have done without this class. Other VUSM classes require you to find a place to volunteer at and count a certain amount of hours and those places are nice and you have the possibility to learn a lot about things, but the way Frank Kronke set up this class it made you learn a lot more about yourself as a person than it did anything else. We learned about how we view the world and the power we have to change things that need changing. We learned a…
