For decades, there has been an ongoing debate on whether or not tattoos or piercings should be allowed. But what is all the arguing about if tattoos have been existing for over thousands of years now. Also when it comes to piercings they can be traced back all the way to the Mayan Empire. So why are we still debating on whether or not a person should be allowed get a tattoo or piercing. What body ink or piercings do for a person is that it gives them the right to have freedom of expression on their body. That is why these things should not be taken away because nobody should have their freedom and rights to body expression removed. A reason as to why people sometimes hesitate on whether or not to get a tattoo or piercing is because they fear that they are making a huge mistake. People around them usually try to persuade them to not mark their bodies or pierce them by saying that they will not like it in a couple of years. But that is not …show more content…
Which is why we should not get body modifications or tattoos. An example on why we should not get them is because of money not only can they be time consuming but they are also expensive. In addition, they are also likely to give people rashes and the reason for that was either the ink gave them a rash or because the metal used was infected. Although not all business or companies do this anymore it could possible lead to a person not being able to a job because they look unprofessional. Another con on why we should not get body ink or piercings is because they are long lasting and although piercings can be taken off they can still leave scars. But when it comes to tattoos the procedures used to remove them can be very expensive.
