- STI'S: STI stands for sexually transmitted infections and having a lot of them in your body and on your genitals it can open sores where HIV can easily enter.
- The use of Intravenous drugs: Needles and syringes are often shared when intravenous drugs are used by people and this means blood droplets can be exposed and transmitted easily.

In Latin America, China, sub-Saharan Africa or Southeast Asia there are free-range pigs and this could be a risk of coming in contact with Taenia solium which is the eggs of the pork tapeworm.
The groups of people who are more at risk of tapeworm are people in places of Latin America, Asia and Africa and this is because poor sanitation is commonly used and human feces can come in contact with free-ranging eggs. Other people who are at risk are people who could contaminate food with tapeworm eggs accidently in the idea of preparing it for others. This could mostly be due to the fact they didn’t wash their hands before preparing the food. [6]
The development of tapeworm would take place due to their three-stage lifecycle. The first stage is called the larva which is the immature stage, then it is the stage when the worm will start to produce more eggs and this is how symptoms will also start to develop. The development of symptoms could also develop overtime if the same procedures are taken when the infection first started and no treatment is taken. Raw meat and fish should be avoided as this is how tapeworms could still stay alive. Hands should be washed thoroughly before eating or preparing food.
