It’s been fifty-two years since the Second War for Empire devastated the world. Obviously a result of democracy, for everyone knows that governments run by the common people are doomed to fail, the only beneficial thing about the wars was the creation of our current Lan Xang Dynasty. Sure the Brazilians were able to join together after being lead by Field Marshal da Cunha, but after decades of elections and a mutual understanding that our two governments harbor a great deal of animosity towards each other, Brazil has decided to publicly announce that they will no longer tolerate our “corruptible” government. In the past, we have left them to their own ways, while continuously building up our own extremely capable nation. The issue with determining a competition that can be measured can’t be one of civilian happiness. Either way if they don’t conform they are put to death, so both sides could claim that the unhappy ones are aberrations and deserve to be put to death. What I propose is a weapons comparison competition. Each nation has three years to prepare for a competition similar to what our ancestors called the olympics, but in technological advancements. By predetermining how to score the weapons, the nation that outscores the other would be deemed the most efficient. Corruption of the results can be negated by hiring outside corporations with ties to both sides to oversee the entire event. With the misguided “anti-corruption” warriors of Brazil, and the highly intelligent, efficient representatives of the Lan Xang Dynasty, the competition should be more or less
