The term "Kantianism" or "Kantian" is sometimes also used to describe contemporary positions in philosophy of mind, epistemology, and ethics” (Wiki, 2017). As I continue my study of ethics and how it relates to the mind, body and the spirit I understand how it relations to our society views of ethics. The Kant’s theory is based on the grounds of choice, where as a person fulfil their own ethical duty. Albert Borgmann (2006) presents a wide-ranging analysis of the influences of ethical theory upon American culture, based on the theory of presentation. The ethical theory of Borgmann reflects his central concern with Churchill's principle—"We shape our buildings, and afterwards our buildings shape us" (Borgmann, 2006, p. 5). This is a representation how we build moral in society. Ethics is determined by moral views theoretically, and practically. Bonhoeffer, believes “Ethics must have a structure and a foundation to build ethics in our community”, “Theoretical Ethics and Practical Ethics are well- established genres of moral reflection” in our society. My view of ethics is closer to Bonhoeffer because in society, there must be structure to gain stability in our everyday environment. In a previous assignment, I did a comparison of the assigned authors with their quotes. I felt a connection with Palmer’s quote. Palmer’s quotes dealt with reality and how it pertains to today’s
