Syncope does have a relationship with the patient with an ECG findings of right ventricular hypertrophy (Basson et al 2009). This also shows the patient’s BP monitor may be inconclusive as right ventricular hypertrophy is results in pulmonary arterial hypertension with a symptom of syncope. However there is no consensus on how to interpret this symptoms with pulmonary arterial hypertension (Le et al 2011). The patient would require to have an echocardiogram to determine if he had right ventricular hypertrophy.

The patient had the 24 hour BP monitor with normal blood pressure reading however as previously mentioned the abnormal results with a diastolic of 102mmHg which indicates hypertension. As the side effect of Midodrine is hypertension,
