Sylver's Room Observation

Location
Within the walls of a prestigous institute resides Sylver, allong with her room mates. Having been given one of the larger dorms, she and seven other people call it home. Around 900 square feet, the dorm is cut in half vertically, and then the left portion cut in half once again horizontally. The two rooms against the inital seperating wall are seperated into a hallway, wih the doors to the two rooms parallel to each other. A table sits at the end of the corridor underneath a bullitin board, posted with daily reminders, and a flowerpot upon the table's surface. The two rooms are divided up by gender, though Sylver takes residance within the male's room, having been mistaken for a male when first assigned to the room, and she never cared to fix it. Both rooms are adorned with a pair of bunkbeds, a pair of desks, a bookcase and a bathroom, each containing a shower, toilet, sink and mirror above it. the right portion of the dorm is also halved, into an open kitchen area and a living space, with a long, U-shaped couch and a coffe table it it's center. a small television sits on a makeshift television stand, a few measly pieces of un-sanded planks of wood that were superglued together. Appearance Despite her best efforts to hide it, Sylver isn't what one would consider to be "human". She is a descendant of forcibly evolved felines over the past 100,000 years, in order to keep up with the rapid human developmant and the increasing human population. However, this rapid and forced change has caused natural selection to favor rather odd traits and features, such as a bipedal, frontward facing eyes, opposable thumbs, overall rather humanoid form, with the exception of rather obvious genetic abnormalities. There are some dead giveaway traits that all her kind has. The first and by far the most noticable trait are her rather large ears, positioned at the top of her head. These are very hard to hide; though Sylver somehow manages to pull it off with an oversized beanie that she wears every day, even when she sleeps. The second trait being her tail that she hides by wrapping around her waist, and under her clothing. Some other, less noticable traits include her unnatural hair and eye color, which is actually very common of her kind, a result of a widespread genetic mutatuon within the alleles that determine the pigment of hair and/or fur. both her hair and eyes as a result of this mutation are a rather vivid aquamariene, though those who don't know of her racial origin simply assume that she wears contacts, and dyes her hair regularly. her skin is actually a very light coat of fur, which is commonly a human-like skin tone, a result of natural selection. Others that once again do not know her raical origin often mistake this as very soft skin. her pupils are almond shaped, a common trait of her kind, and her irises are very light reflective, and will appear to "glow" in the dark due to their reflective properties. This also affect her capability to notice these brief flashes of light,

INFP stands for Introversion (I), Intuition (N), Feeling (F), Perception (P). this type is commonly given the alias of "Mediator", "Dreamer", "Healer" and "Creative Seeker". She is very hesitant, and doesn't often try new things, but at the same time, is drawn to new things through innate curiosity, which can often get her into trouble. Sylver is easily startled, and has several phobias. these include Pyrophobia(also known as Arsonphobia, fire), Nosocomephobia(Hospitals), Iatrophobia(Doctors), Trypanophobia(Injections), and Musophobia( also known as Murophobia or Suriphobia, mice). Sylver has a low self esteem and confidance despite being quite stubborn and having a strong will. she's also deathly afraid of being alone or lonely when she doesn't want to be alone, which can be percieved as her just being clingy by others. She stammers a lot, and plays with her bangs when nervous, and also combats her emotions with comedy, and thus has a great sense of humor. she also tends to change her mind often, and tends to be a bit of an

She has a past medical history of hypertension, chronic CHF, asthma and hypothyroidism. After the conduction of lab testing, Room 337 was diagnosed with syncope. Her syncope was most likely a result of insufficient O2 delivery to the brain caused by a decreased CO produced by the weakening of her heart muscle. Despite hypertension medications, Room N337’s dizziness and muscle fatigue persists demonstrated by fluctuations in her orthostatic BP readings reflecting the inability to get out of bed and move freely.…

An Ames room is a distorted room that gives an optical illusion. The room was first constructed in 1946 by an American ophthalmologist named Adelbert Ames Jr. and it was invented in 1934. The room is based on a concept invented by Hermann Helmholtz in the late 19th century according to my research. The room has two illusions, one is that the room appears to look squared when you look at it through a small hole in the front of the room but it is not it is actually like a trapezoid. The second illusion is that things appear to change in size when they move from one corner of the room to the other.…

Participating and observing the different interactions in Oliver Hall among the students and Sodexo workers I focused first on students I knew, because I did not want to assume their race/ethnicity based on looks. From observing this I noticed that students whose race/ethnicity fell under the category of a minority (Black/African American, Latino(a)/American) seem to have more meaningful conversations than other races/ethnicities. It was difficult to analyze each conversation because there was usually a long line waiting to get inside Oliver Hall, but the Sodexo workers either smiled or took extra time with students they knew/had a conversation before. Being Latina and actually knowing the Sodexo workers, I noticed that they did this for me…

Summon your courage and speak up when you feel the need to.” This quote explains that at a certain point you have to have the strength to stand up for yourself. The main character Margot was always shy and never stood up for herself until one day when she couldn’t take it any more. A normal day on the planet Venus consists of rain, non stop rain.…
