Suzanne Casak Argumentative Essay

1944 was one of the most unforgettable years in history, families were separated and lives were lost, leaving one another and never seeing them again for the rest of their lives. Many lives were killed during the Holocaust especially ones who were putting there lives in front of their loved ones. As many were killed during these horrifying times many had helped one another to escape these Death/ Concentration Camps. One of the many people who had helped save children from the Holocaust was a young lady named Suzanne Spaak. This young lady left her family, risked hers and the children's lives and hid all of these Jews in a hospital willing to save these children's lives. Suzanne Spaak lived in Paris, France, and was a member of the French Resistance during World War Two to stand up against Hitler's power and save Jews. As a mother of two she had abandoned her family, her husband and children’s lives because she wanted to stand up to the power of Hitler and save as many Jews that she could possibly save. This put both her and the children's life at a risk. Working for a group to go save children in Death Camps was a tough decision to make because before you know it you will have a 1% chance that you won't get caught. Trying to find a place for all these hidden Jewish children was a hard but risky choice because anyone can be on the side of Hitler and no one would know which would get Suzanne, her family and the children killed. A hard and risky choice was at the hands of Suzanne Spaak because she only did not have the 1% chance of staying alive by saving all of these children but also her family trying to stay
