Propaganda is a way of manipulating, persuading or even changing, the way people think. it started way back in history when people started having a difference between class and statues.The purpose of propaganda war posters were for readers and viewers to stop, read the poster and take action. War posters was a trendy thing because it had lots of bright bold colors that attracted viewers and had straight short forward information. Propaganda in world war 2, used by the britain government was used to help motivate people to come to the home front to help and motivate people to keep strong and believe that they will win the war. it was also used to dissuade the enemy to lower their faith and courage. yet it was also used for public communication …show more content…
Its main purpose is to persuade and manipulate the public opinion.
Surrealism is an irrational art form that takes inspiration from the art form Dadaism. surrealism is very similar to dadaism but it has it's own unique style that differentiates it from dadaism. They both may form around the idea of absurdity, abstractness, sometimes meaningless. What makes surrealism different from dadaism was the fact that surrealism took their art work seriously and not anti art. Also, surrealism revolved around the idea of the unconsciousness mind and trying to bring out visually their unconsciousness such as dreams.
The differences between Propaganda and Surrealism is that Propaganda focuses more on the real world and tries to make it's messages specific and clear as possible, visually and verbally to it's audience. As effective as it is it was also the powerhouse to giving hope and planting beliefs inside peoples head.

propaganda war poster were part of the reason that encouraged people in the military forces to keep on fighting and others who were not in the military to join the military, even after seeing many besides them fall. a good example of propaganda is this poster. When Britain seemed to stand alone this poster was sent out to reassure people that britons did have allies. As a result it helped people feel as though they have a better chance at winning the war.
