The study was given to psychologist Seth Pollak. he studied 389 people from ages 4-22. Some were poor and some were rich. The federal poverty line says that a family of 4 making less than $24,250 is considered poor. After the study, it was clear that kids in poverty’s brains were not as developed as kids above poverty. The poor kids had 8-10 percents less gray matter (brain tissue) in their brains than the other kids. Pollak was hoping to see the poor kids
