Recess is necessary in a school day. It is necessary to refresh student’s minds, get exercise and relieve stress. Recess allows students to refresh their minds. Students often have a negative outlook on school because it can be very strenuous on young minds, causing them to be overworked. Students are faced with this pain daily, and one of the few parts of the day they look forward to is recess. Therefor, recess offers a time of relaxation to clear the mind of mental taxing tasks. Next, recess allows students to gain the daily exercise needed to sustain a healthy body. After all, many students go home just to watch television or play videogames.
