In most cases, a gang would have a gang Code of Conduct (MARCOVITZ, 13). The code of conduct would be a pact made by members to never spread information about the gang or the gang’s activities; if they violated this pact, the violator could be beaten to death or shot on sight (MARCOVITZ, 13). If a member was seen committing a crime by a bystander or police officer, the member may either try to bribe the witness to stay quiet and never speak about what they had seen or the member may just not take any chances and kill the witness altogether (MARCOVITZ, 14). The FBI deemed the Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13, the most violent street gang to be known to this day (THE GLOBALIST). This gang does not hesitate to kill anybody that acts suspicious or tries to prevent their growth and success (THE GLOBALIST). The main sources of income for this gang are human trafficking and drug trafficking (THE GLOBALIST). An estimated 80,000 members are reported to be active in America, and more than triple that amount in Mexico (THE GLOBALIST). MS-13’s murders are mainly motivated by vengeance or retaliation for members killed by police or other gangs (THE GLOBALIST). The Guardian Angels on the other hand, is one of the very few morally good gangs and sets out to protect citizens and stop crimes in the city in which they are founded (THE GLOBALIST). This gang wears white T-shirts and red berets and accepts any ethnicity willing to help others (THE GLOBALIST). The Guardian Angels mainly protect subway trains and some areas that other gangs inhabit (THE GLOBALIST). As of 1980, less than 700 members were reported across America, but have many growing organizations throughout the states (THE GLOBALIST). Although not all street gangs are violent nuisances to society, most are brutal and ruthless in their quest to make money and progress in power and popularity. The war on drugs and crime in America rages on as more and more gangs are established every year.
