On the other hand, some argue that any loss in album or song sell can be neutralized by touring and selling merchandise. But with the costs of things rising, this isn't enough to pay off or for everyday things. The artist, along with the booking agents and tour managers have to be paid, basic necessities need to be bought like food, and merchandise needs to be made. Many musicians end up in debt and bankruptcy because of the costs and expense. When they buy houses and fancy cars they fail to realize that the costs of tours, food, hotels and etc. add up and they think they have a lot of money and end up not having enough money to pay off any of the bills that they had to pay.
